Start at x_0=0 and take twelve independent fair left/right steps, giving thirteen ordered positions. In each complete subrange, choose its maximum position value; ties use the LEFTMOST occurrence. That position becomes the root. Recurse on the subranges to its left and right. This is not the maximum from only the left subarray and not a tree built from twelve direction symbols.
An all-left or all-right twelve-step trace forms a tree of depth thirteen, giving raw score seven. A depth of six or less gives zero. A positive score remains positive in every mode, although normalized gross credit can be smaller than stake.
The exact law has 623 zero-score traces and 3473 positive-score traces, with maximum raw score seven. Changing powers preserves positive-score frequency. Previous outcomes do not alter a new independent trace. The thirteen positions include origin and all intermediate positions, not thirteen endpoint bins.

Depth is the number of vertices on the longest root-to-leaf path, not edges. Raw score=max(0,depth-6). The algorithm builds and scores the tree automatically. Players do not select roots, branches, paths or a cash-out time. Mode is captured before the trace is sampled, not after a score is known.
